Training Centres used to have very clear and defined territories – there were comparatively few centres, and they knew where their students were coming from. Then a couple of years ago there was a boom in new DP Training Centres – from 20, to 30, to 40, to 50 and up – there are new Centres coming on-stream almost every couple of months.
That means that you as a training provider have to fight harder to ensure you keep getting students through the door. Here at IDPOA we offer a tailored service to allow centres to make the most of their marketing budget.
Our members span the entire world, from those with little or no experience to the most skilled DPO’s around – they have a wide range of training requirements . They are looking for, “Introduction to DP courses”, NI Induction and simulator courses, high level specialised training, and seatime reduction courses. There is also a growing demand for bespoke training, including courses on position reference systems, DP Bridge Management, and engineering/technical support.
